my mom has the Vento Petrol and I found it pretty bland to drive. The drive quality is good, the gear shift etc. is also very good but the engine seems sluggish, especially compared to Honda City.

That's because Vento's engine is Naturally Aspirated and not Turbo Charged. TSI is a different tech and hence the engine will never feel sluggish. I would say it leaves entry level Honda engines to bite the dust.
 


The latest generation Polo was launched this week in India. Pricing starts at Rs. 4.99 lakhs which generally means close to Rs. 6 lakhs on road after accessories and all that shite :D for the base model.
