yeap. fiesta largely competes against the dzire in the indian market. but the new fiesta would be sold along with the current fiesta which is now named fiesta classic. so the new fiesta might be targeted in the premium segment. similar to how verna replaced accent but became a much more expensive car!
 
i dont think the new fiesta will be able to compete with the fluidic verna coz no matter how good the car is u also need good after-sales service to back it up along with reasonably priced spares this is where Hyundai is ahead of other manufacturers like Ford, VW, Fiat (tata)..
 
righto. vw has one of the best strategies in india. multiple brands that virtually operate independently.
 
i am right now in a money crunch situation myself...............but i want to buy a car in next 6 months or so.........and i dont like vento's simple looks.i am actually checking the cars out these days , i mean getting more and more information about them :Confuzzled:

^^ absolutely agree with you on the simple looks part.. and to think that the car that it is derived from (Polo) looks extremely ravishing !

The Guys running Volkswagen don't get credit for increase in Skoda sales.
 
1st gear on the Vento petrol is very disappointing, I've been overtaken by 800's at first gear many a times. Other than that its a decent car nothing special imho. Buy a Hcity if you're going in for a petrol sedan/
