Watch out for Sony Pix!

Two great movies this week. The Day of the Jackal (1973) on Wednesday and Hitchcock's Frenzy (1972) on Thursday, both at 10 pm.

Alfred Hitchcock's Marnie (1964). Tonight at 10 pm. That is, it starts within the next ten minutes. Supposed to be a good film.

Well marnie was okay. I liked psycho and birds better. But marnie was a lot better than last week's frenzy. When the hell are they gonna show Rear Window. wanted to see that one.

Doubt if they are going to show it. They have not shown Spike Lee's Malcolm X either.

(Atleast) two Hercule Poirot movies next week (full fledged Hollywood productions, not made for tv ones).

At 10 PM, Monday, December 10th - Murder on the Orient Express (1974)
At 10 PM, Tuesday, December 11th - Evil Under the Sun (1982)

One more Hercule Poirot film - Death on the Nile (1978), at 10 PM, Wednesday, December 12th.

All the three movies have heavy weight casting - Albert Finney (Poirot 1), Ingrid Bergman, Anthony Perkins, Peter Ustinov (Poirot 2), Maggie Smith, David Niven, Jack Warden etc. etc.

If you have not read Agatha Christie's Poirot, Murder on the Orient Express is one of the best stories (after The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd, of course).

A good movie based on a great book - To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), tomorrow at 10 pm.

Multiple oscar award winning movie - The Sting (1973), starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford with great 'ragtime' music by Marvin Hamlisch based on compositions by Scott Joplin - 'The Entertainer' and 'Solace' are good pieces. On Saturday, 10 pm

Spartacus (1960) and The Sting (1973) this Saturday afternoon.
