What are the documents required for passport? I wanna apply for a passport. How long does it take?

Appointments normally are available 1-2 weeks from current date & another 2-3 weeks to get the passport if everything is fine. Say if you have everything ready now, i.e. documents ready - You should be able to get the passport in a month

I guess safe deadline for kids to have birth certificate. I don't have mine. Dekhe kaise niklega.

Puri zindagi padi hai. I don't even know the hospital where I was born. Kabhi to enforce kar denge. Citizenship is a big issue.

Govt hikes passport fees from July 1, new one to cost Rs 2,500, Tatkaal Rs 5,000

From July 1, a new 36-page passport or its reissue for applicants aged 18 years and above will cost Rs 2,500 under the normal scheme, up from Rs 1,500 at present. The Tatkaal fee has been raised to Rs 5,000 from Rs 3,500.
