What exactly is the Jeevan Sathi Plan ?

There's no monthly service charge. Why would anyone opt for any other plan, for eg Budget Plan F which has a monthly service charge of Rs 100 with no free talk value ? Am I missing something ? Is there a condition or catch ? For eg, maybe the Jeevan Sathi Plan can only be used for a second connection. Or maybe it is only for Gov Servants. Thanks.

30p is less for calls to MTNL numbers. But then if one has to make calls then one wud never go for plan F/100And yes Jeevan Sathi is not way too cheap esp now they are giving 50Rs Free talk time.I have doubts that when number portability comes the lifetime members wud not be allowed to migrate.I dont know abt MTNL but incase of other networks, lifetime members can not avail all addon schemes but just some fixed schemes.

Have been using Jeevan Saathi Postpaidfor more than a year now. No catches. Call rate MTNL Dolphin 0.80Other Local 1.00STD 1.25If you have good dolphin n/w where ever you are; go for it. Main reason why I switched to MTNL, Dolphin.All India roaming in BSNL n/wGood network where my office is. Better then Airtel, Hutch, Idea etc.Transperency, Just paid Rs101 for last 3month bill (not much outgoing)
