I am not so sure. By default they should have a warranty. But would the warranty would still be applicable if the phones are actually used with custom ROMs? Would have to check.
the point here is that developer phones are targeted at users who want to run custom ROMs on their phones. but it sounds stupid that the warranty would be voided if the user does exactly that.
Ah. Well. I was thinking more on the lines of Samsung's knox efuse (dunno if the gpe has it), and the ensuing warranty issues after flashing the device et al.
