What should be MTU value on ONT if I use it in bridge mode

I am using my Syrotech ont in bridge mode with tp link archer a6. On TP-Link I configured MTU size to 1460 in pppoe mode. But my ONT also has mtu size option, should I leave it to 1500 or change it to 1460 as well?

I am using MTU 1460 on my Netlink HG323RGW ONT (EPON) in Bridge Mode with my TP-Link Archer A7 v5 router (running OpenWRT, handles PPPoE). It's been working for me. I haven't tried with MTU 1500 so I can't comment on that.
