Getting these mails on GMail, Hotmail, YahooMail or others?Off late, such mails stopped coming on my GMail but today I got this email.I do not subscribe to newsletters, groups, websites or forums (expect IBF) through my primary e-mail address.Then, how am I getting these emails? Is it that our email addresses are getting leaked from our friends' address book or their id's are hacked? (just guessing)

Actually i have signed up for a few "Particular" type of Fora too. But even they are decent enough to not to share email ids with such spammers!

I never get such emails on gmail, looks like they have a good spam detection system.....But my fathers rediffmail accn. gets bombarded with spam at astronomical rates,every day 5-6 at least.

I get mostly this on my hotmail ID, which I started using (and sharing at any website which asks for one) in 1997-98 without even knowing what is SPAM

On the flip side, I also get a lot on my gmail, which I have not shared with anyone other than family & 3-4 other "genuine" sites.. I even got spam in GMail when I had even not shared to anyone at all.
