I know In Mumbai after June 30th U will stop analog signal and will give digital signal. So U can give 400 to 500 SD channels and 30 HD channels in metros.what about Hyd& blore area??u removed 2 HD channels bcoz of badwidth problems.will re add them??U will give only analog signals here?? Why Dolby sound not providing for all channels??what happened?plzz update us.

In bangalore, i met a cable operator. He said that they'll soon discontinue analog cable and switch completely to digital tv. So, it's gonna happen, soon analog tv will be out of service.

One of my friend is owning cable distribution in my area and he doesn't have a clue about when these STB will be available. Just 13 days to go and still nothing happened.

I dont think so..bcoz Blore is not in that digitalization list.if it will b happened in blore then definitely it will happen in hyd.

Government of India has notified the timeline for Cable Operators for Digitalization as below:-Phase – IDelhi, Mumbai , Kolkata & Chennai : 30.06.2012Phase- II Major cities ( 38 numbers) : 31.03.2013Phase- IIIAll urban areas except : 30.09.2014Cities / towns specified in Phase-I & IIPhase-IVRest of the India : 31.12.2014

There will be no digitilization in chennai until aiadmk in power because AIADMK is always against central govt (congress) policies or If there is any SC intervention in this issue n make this compulsory. TN govt will take initiative to digitilize through TN govt cable corporation. TN state govt already have taken steps to give 500+ digital channels including 20+ HD channels to chennai subscribers. It's still under process

Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited

So there will be no big business opportunity for private dth service providers at chennai. Enduser may get this govt dth for Rs. 200.

^^As on 1st of June, 19% Homes are already digitized in Chennai. So, its happening. Even AIADMK can't do anything in that if broadcaster turn off Analog Signal from 1st of July. Also, State Govt will the one who will be most benefited due to digitization on terms of Tax. Whether its Arsu or any DTH everyone gonna pay Tax and Govt is anyhow getting benefitted.

^^ Broadcaster can't turn off analog signal unless there is an instruction frm the state govt. Because most the local service providers are under the control of AIADMK powerhouse. TN govt will nvr care about congress policies unless the media makes this as a big issue or any court intervetion. If not on july. Even if later, atleast we chennai people are going to get dth for minimum than any other metros, that's for sure
