Whats going on with my connection?.......

yesterday i was not able to connect my bsnl broadband ...i use bridge connection...day before yesterday i screwed some thing in the modem and yesterday night i reset the modem and corrected the configuration to bridge connection.....:thumbsup: but i was not able to connect to the internet...i called on to the customer care people and they said that they will reset my password...after 5 min i tried to connect to connect my broadband, but it was not at all connecting.. :notallowed: then again i called the customer care and they said that the problem is from their side ...they said that the server is not responding properly...and today after noon also i tried to connect the broadband...it connected but...no webpage is opening...:ishock: then i tried it in ubuntu 10.4...it worked properly..:thumbsup: then again i tried in windows xp..still it is repeating the same.. :notallowed:then again i tried in ubuntu ...its working .... i couldn't understand whats going on....with my broadband connection... please help me.....

1. Try system restore. Most probably, it will fix the issue.2. Disable your firewall /antivirus and try.3. Try another browser.4. Clear browser cache and try.

why we should disable the firewall / antivirus ....
what does the firewall / antivirus will do to my broadband connection.......

Change DNS as 208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220

Some times, it blocks the connection to the server. Happened to me once when I tried Comodo Firewall. Couldn't connect to net till I removed it from my PC.
