WhatsApp/Hike on Android tablet?

Earlier whatsapp refused to install in wifi tab saying "tabs are not supported"
But now it installs without any problems on tabs(wifi only).
Install app using apk ..then sign in with your number ..you'll get an sms with verification code ..type in tab and you're good to go.

not necessary , i use the SIM in different mobile[which i used to confirm] and use whatsapp on different mobile

not sure if they have changed the rules, but when I tried, I simply installed it (whatsapp) using an apk on the wifi only tab, and it worked. (obviously you need to use a number to confirm it and that number can be used only on that tab), the verification SMS comes on the phone and you enter it.

may be am reading it wrong

I meant once you start using a number on the tab, irrespective of how you verified it, that number cannot simultaneously be used on a phone as well.
