After Jio sim gets activated, you get 2GB data, 100 minutes calling and 100 SMSes instantly. After 24 to 48 hours Unlimited Plan will be activated. You will receive some SMSes regarding the same on your alternate number.

Today I saw posters and banners of Jio put up in places like a provision store and a mobile recharge shop. Could that be a hint that the launch may happen on Aug 15th as reported earlier ?

Was it specifically Jio or just LYF mobiles with Jio, because LYF banners have been around for a long time now

It was the Jio...Digital life banner, not the Lyf phone. I will ask the shopkeeper and post more info.
