Yeah I've seen them in Bangalore as well. I just assumed it was part of the Samsung SIM campaign.

Saw a small shop of a travel agent in Guwahati that had the Jio banner on the outside. Went inside and asked him if SIMs were available and he said they'd be available with him from 15th August.

So I went and asked the shopkeeper. He said Jio guys asked him to put only the banner for now, and launch will most likely happen on Aug 15th but its not 100 % confirmed.

here in my city jio has started selling postpaid connections to customers who are on a postpaid connection of any other operator, they require a copy of bill in addition to id proofs and photo.
