on windows using common sense and no antivirus but i do have outpost pro paid for as a software firewall and keep the free version of malawarebytes updated, but not running for just in case days.
Does Avast free has any limitations?
yes. it does have. there is no firewall but windows firewall is good enough most of the time and if one needs, he can simply install standalone firewall alongside the avast free antivirus. then there are no as many fancy features as paid antivirus offers but most of such are just gimmicks, at least that's what i have found. rest is just perfect. its sleek, light, no resource hog and does its work nicely.
