First off, thank you all for answering my previous question of DTH which helped me to select among the avl options. ;) This time i want to purchase a new BB connection. I currently have airtel's 256 UL for which i pay 900 PM but the LL bills are overwhelming even when i use it sparingly and upon that they want to introduce fair usage policy so i have decided to change ISP. Most importantly, i was contemplating the option of changing BB 4 a long time because i need better speeds:redface:. Here are the details and requirements for the new BB connection: 1. Download speeds of atleast 80-100 KBPS with UNLIMITED PLAN(Wishful thinking?). When i say 80-100, i mean the REAL speeds not the one companies quote in their advertisments(128=15 kbps,256=30 kbps,512=60 kbps). 2. My bill payment capacity ranges anywhere between 1000-1500 PM.:) 3. Also please mention about the outage/downtime which u currently face with ur ISP. 4. Plesae mention if your ISP blocks torrents or torrent clients.:| 5. Place of stay: Bangalore. 6. Please rate your ISP's service on a scale of 5. Example: 3/5 which means average, 2/5 which means bad, 1/5 which means very bad. Also mention if you had bad experiences when dealing with your BB queries. Thank you everybody at broadband forum! I need you guys to guide me through this new issue.

Hi,1. I'm on Airtel 384 Kbps plan (but I never get speed < 600 Kbps) :happy:I'd suggest you to upgrade to 384 Kbps plan (999 Plus) or 512 Kbps plan (1499) plan whatever you can afford.3. Airtel = Zero Downtime.4. Nothing is blocked except a http warez site.6. Rating: 4/5. Customer Care is awesome but the only negative point about Airtel is it's newly launched AFUP.But still, don't leave Airtel. Just migrate to some higher plan like 384 kbps or 512 kbps.If It Ain't Broke, Don't Try To Fix It. :)But if you're desperate, BSNL UL1350+ is always an option.
