Then flash a supported router (I'd prefer Archer C20 V5, but can't guarantee stability)
@drtech How do you flash the C20 V5? Using the Stock UI, browsing the .bin file and uploading? Or using the TFTP server by following the steps for V4 ?

Another one, since only the snapshot version of the firmware is available for V5, does it come with an in-built UI? Do do I need to install Luci web interface by following the steps captured here.

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks a ton for the Links!!

What I'll do -
1) Using Stock UI upload the firmware avlbl in the first link.
2) If above step fails, use push using TFTP.
3) If step 2 is success, will upgrade to the latest version by using the sysupgrade image from the second link.

Will keep you posted.

No !! I just mentioned the first link because it used TFTP.

Use images from the latest stable branch, OpenWrt on Router TP-Link AC750 Archer C20 v5 [rigacci.org] has experimental firmware that is already outdated.

First flash the kernel image, then the sysupgrade one.

Ensure stability of 2.4 and 5Ghz bands before proceeding towards setting up your airtel connection.

@drtech
I TFTPed the kernel and rebooted the router. There was no 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz lights lit up. No UI was accessible either at 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

Then I TFTPed the sysupgrade one and it rebooted. Now also there is no 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz lights lit up or any UI accessible either at 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

Infact on light is lit up, not even power even though it's powered.

If I connect my desktop using a LAN cable, the only LAN port light gets lit up but no IP is assigned to my desktop.

Is there any way forward?

Thanks in advance!!

Try assigning a static IP to your LAN adapter (192.168.1.100) and then try to access 192.168.1.1
No luck after doing this. The Default Gateway is blank instead of 192.168.1.1

By the way, I used Solarwinds TFTP server on a windows 10 desktop to push the images. Not sure, if windows screwed anything

I didn't get what you're trying to say.

Using any tftp server should be fine as long as you didn't disconnect or power cycle the router during the flashing process.

You might have bricked your router, I'm afraid.

Try uploading the stripped firmware from this post. Be careful to leave the router plugged in and undisturbed for atleast 10 mins.
