Which Wireless Broadband

Hello friends, just joined the board. In the market for a wireless BB connection. Which one to get 2G, 3G or EVDO? Requirement would be: minimum 256kbps speed, < 1000/- rental monthly. Please suggest whether to go in for EVDO or 2G or 3G. 3G is expensive at the moment, EVDO has somewhat stabilized & 2G is cheap. Also, which USB to get, locked or unlocked & what are the prices? Finally what are the best plans? Im operating in Punjab circle & operators that we have; BSNL, Photon, Reliance, Docomo. Thanks.

Thanks, sadly my City doesn't figure there but I visited a Reliance showroom in my City & they do offer Wireless internet here. Will check out plans. Edit: Replied to PM Vikky.
