Apps:
Its been a longtime and basic apps like facebook is not yet released. The version in store was developed by MS.
No Google apps, no youtube.
In Android, an app can do anything. I use my tab as keyboard and mouse of my windows PC sometimes. Dont think it will come out soon in WP.
Closed Source:
Windows worked for PCs as it did not have competition, options. If the PC era was now, windows would not have been this popular at all.
Anyways gimme one reason why I need to go for windows OS over Android, iOS?
How many buy non Nokia WP8/WP7 phones? I think most people opted for WP because of Nokia.

The fact is .....only Nokia core fan can go for wiondows phone.......n each n every market report clearly say the nokia is the biggest looser of mobo world along with blackberry n htc.... Just look at the nokia's world market share its keep going down all the time thats why the question come out why they are not with android if they do so they can capture number one positon ion market again because they still have alots of fans who really dont cares how crappy my nokia device is...but its nokia....actually they even really dont know other names because about 50% of nokia fans in inda are electronically illiterate......:D:D:D:D

Got this piece of news - http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/06/nokia-acquires-smarterphone-mobile-os-company/

Nah, neither MeeGo nor Symbian wererobust enough to keep Nokia interested, but for whatever reason, a Norwegian mobile OS outfit by the name of Smarterphone has something that Elop and co. just can't resist. As the story goes, Ferd Capital has sold Smarterphone AS to Espoo's finest, and actually, the deal went down (all too quietly) back in November of last year. The company claims that it makes ultra-smart mobile operating system software for featurephones, enabling users to get a smartphone-like experience on "affordable hardware." Of course, we've all seen how well that kind of thing goes over in mature markets. Granted, Nokia's playing its hand in a great many locales, and there's certainly the possibility that this OS will gain traction in markets that were previously ruled by Symbian. Moreover, there's the possibility that Nokia simply wanted the talent that came with the company, and that it'll scrap the actual code as soon as it gets the new crew onboard. Neither company's coming right out and saying what their plans are, and no financial details have been disclosed, but something tells us you won't see the fruits of Smarterphone's labor on a Lumia device anytime soon.
