Why is truenas.com painfully slow to access from India?

From past few weeks, I am trying to access truenas.com and it is absolutely horrendous. Majority of the time, the page will return 502 and if it loads at all, the page will not load JS or CSS properly.
When accessed using a VPN connected to Europe or US, the website is properly accessible.

Have already tried using different ISPs. Can someone pin point what is wrong with this?

502 indicates bad gateway (i.e some issue with connection between the nginx reverse proxy and the forum software they are using), I think there is some problem with the Nginx reverse proxy on truenas site.

its slow on my Singapore VPN, loads fine after connecting to the U.S.

Routing from whole of Asia is crap right now for truenas and it appears they are not bothered.

I noticed one thing, the site itself when connected from India appears to connect to 167.71.229.199 which is a DigitalOcean VPS in Bangalore. So maybe something is wrong between this proxy server and the backend.

Ok so I set my DNS Server to return 185.172.148.132 which is the IP returned on my Dutch server for www.truenas.com

This fixed the loading issue. Clearly there is something wrong with the proxy server/CDN they are using.
