why it takes me to youtube New Zealand ?

When I type in YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. , it takes me to nz.youtube.com

I am on MTNL delhi
Is You Tube NZ closest to India?
As far as I know my geography, NZ is pretty far
Are others also being redirected to NZ?
 
well i tried everything from changing time zones to regional settings but never got redirected to nz.youtube.comanyways check out youtube now...... maybe the youtube load server night have redirected you to nz.youtube.com at that point of time.... however the content seems to be the same in both the places....
 
happens occasionally! though not happened to me wid utube! this mayb as mentioned due to loads on servers and another reason can be use of proxies or sometimes due to DNS servers too!
 
it does not depend upon which DNS server your using..... DNS server only supplies the IP address unless your 3rd party DNS offers some more services....Load balancing is done at content server site which will in turn redirect me to the nz server.

however the content seems to be the same in both the places...
1.The contents are definitely different.
2. DNS server only supplies the IP address
why same IP address for trace route for either site? I am directed to OpenDNS ( another extra open DNS now )
