Wikipedia now supports Indian currency for donation. Not sure when this change happened, long time back it used to be USD only.

lol nice. but i doubt donations to wikipedia are considered tax free as per the indian taxation laws?

Yea, but most or all the donations which are tax exempt in India has to do with Indian institutions than any abroad

sadly, wikipedia is more of a global institution rather than an american one
