so i just update my
laptop from
windows 7 to windows 10 and I am Having a nightmare.
i downloaded the windows 10 via creation tool which took long time.
After downloading it show preparing files for 15 - 20 minutes and when it got finished i thought now it will start installing windows but no then checking for updates which took 2 hours -.- .
After that for installing the files it took again 2 hours (copying files, installing drivers) and then when it finished i tried to log in to my a/c and then again preparing for 20 -.- when it finally opened it was lagging like crazy unable to click anything on desktop.
then i just thought its a big update so it will take some time so i just leave my laptop opened till morning.
Luckily lag was gone but still i was not able to open any app and when i used to check my laptop properties it used to get freezed dont know why :/.
I just
google around and found that many people advised to go for clean install and then i was like damn made a huge mistake. luckily windows 10 has one feature by which we can reset the pc while keeping the files but software /apps will be deleted.
I got no other option i thought it should resolve the issues but no.
after this my laptop's wifi stopped working driver got some issue.
downloaded the driver from
lenovo support.
and then i was surprised to see many software like lenovo energy management ,ms office which came with my laptop was also deleted then i was like WTF .
while selecting reset pc it was cleary mention all software which didnt came with pc will be deleted.
Lesson learned > take back up first -.-.
after all this am still struggling windows 10 .
lag is gone but surprisingly many software has some kind of minor issues with windows 10 .
for eg lenovo energy management's feature of restricting the charger after it reached 50 % doesnt work. (its a known issue got to know about this via lenovo forum).
unable to upload photos via chrome.
I would highly suggest not to update your windows if you use too many software on your pc/laptop.
windows 10 is really good but i would say it requires some more policing and still many software are not properly optimized for windows 10.
But still if you want to install it then go with clean install it will really save your time.
Currently i am strongly thinking to go back to windows 7 which i think is very much stable (at least with the software which i use )
would appreciate if you all share your views if you updated your windows.
Note : My laptop configuration
intel i5 2.3 ghz
3 gb ram and intel hd graphics.
