Windows 8 - Internet Active but not able to browse

Internet connection is active and even torrent is able to download in the background
but not able to browse thru firefox , chrome
JDownloader too doesnt sense the connection
problem persists even after reconnection , replugging of USB modem
get straight only after rebooting .

while this happened firefox , utorrent and Jdownloader was running

Could be DNS issue. Try switching to Google DNS (8.8.8.8).

changed the DNS , now need to wait

if you are on BSNL, they could very well be the reason for the problems.

Wait for what? You don't need to wait for anything after changing your DNS.

i think full bandwidth is used for torrents and downloader, just stop those apps and try again..

how come that happen ? utorrent getting full 2 mbps but JD gets disconnection error and everything gets normal on restart

Wait for what? You don't need to wait for anything after changing your DNS.

after chaning the DNS too , this issue happened 10 mins back , restarted and writing this post
firefox kinda gets stunted , i dont get any error while trying to open a page , its just nothing happens when i click a link
restarting firefox too didnt help , and JD was giving disconnection error but utorrent was still downloading

Well, there have been moments when only Google services worked. I had to use VPN to access the forum!

When that happens, try going to network, and disable and enable the network connection.

connection comes back again and only utorrent picks it up
firefox and JD doesnt sense the network
firefox does nothing more or less like freezed state , only chrome gives connection error
this happens randomly over a period of time or once in 2-4 hours
