Windows to Mac mini or air - Doubts

I am thinking to get mac mini or air.

Main concern is if normal hdmi monitor, usb keyboard, bluetooth mouse and other peripherals work with Apple or it should be apple only.

Reason for shifting:

Easy to work with iPhone recorded videos and editing on macbook.
Windows has turned into trash, filled with bloatware - installed without my permission and with each version its becoming worse.

Anything else I need to consider.

so yeah. if anyone plans to buy an older m-series macbook air... now might be the best time. Apple probably would not keep them in stock for much longer coz this now exist and has the iPhone processor and people would just happily buy this for the apple branding.

I don't use / own FCP. However, I received an email regarding 3-months of free trail Apple Creative Studio that contains FCP.

Bought M4 air, a couple of months ago. However, the email is sent only this/last week. For other trails (such as Apple Music), I received emails almost immediately upon purchasing the new mac.

If bought from apple.com education store, it offer FCP and some other softwares at a discounted price of about 20k, but cons is no card discount. And unidays account is required so thats another thing.

For pre-order it was showing 30 mar pickup option, so decided to wait for a while and see whats available by March end.

If i get good deal on 15" M4 i will consider that too.
