^^ i read somewhere that earpiece issue was related to some update from miui and got fixed in latest update. did you install any update after your issue?

no change in software.


I did update MIUI to latest version available but phone was working after that. One fine morning it gave up suddenly and there is no change in software from that day till today.

I think this an issue of bad earpiece assembly with some loose contacts and therefore I think I will go proceed with the replacement.

Its still present...The earpiece volume would suddenly drop while on call...But it doesn't seem to be much of a difference now!!
So just waiting for a update
