Xolo Q800 X edition

I wanted a mobile under 10k and after searching, bought Xolo q800 X Edition. Already have seen Xolo A500S ,Xolo Q1100 with dad and hence decided to go to xolo again. Its not like there are many great phones under 10k. Wanted to buy Lumia 525 but again felt windows is too restrictive.

Big question Lumia 525 or Xolo Q800? i've a tight budget of 10k so really can't think of any other models..

Go for Indian brands if you're looking for best performance and not for showing off. They are good value for money. Who cares about the brand if you're getting Galaxy S3 like performance for under Rs.10k. Also if you're planning to change your mobile frequently you can surely go for brands like Xolo or Micromax. I don't think it's a good idea to go for widows mobile due to lack of apps. Android is the only OS if you want more app flexibility. As for as Q800 is concerned it is great mobile for the price point.

Yes! i wanna buy a phone for showing off lol nowadays everyone has an android phone.. even servers at some restaurants in my town own micromax n karbonn(not saying they dont deserve to own it) They work hard n buy it but i'm kinda different n like to experience a change.. I better wait for sometime until the price of moto g comes down a bit n buy that

Go for Lumia 525. (I hope it is priced below 10K). You will not miss anything related to social network. In fact it has better social integration with phone OS, so no need for 3rd party or separate apps for FB
And it would be good device for show off as well
Negatives I found with Lumia 525 are- it does not have Camera Flash and no front camera. But sincerely I have never used front camera in last 1 year on my Lumia 620, so I dont think its issue. But I often use Camera Flash as Torch as several occasion during power failures layful:

I think lumia 525 has poor features to price ratio. It doesn't have front facing camera and flash for back camera. How do plan on taking selfies or what's the use of Skype if there's no front camera ? I don't see point forgoing to lumia unless you're sick of android or want to stand out in a crowd.

I've used several shitty androids under 10k running gingerbread and ice cream sandwich ..with introduction of jelly bean ,lag problem is solved in lower end phones ..and kitkat is only making things better.

I like the customization of android ..hell my current home screen looks like this I simply don't understand getting a different phone just for the sake of standing out in crowd.

thx n yeah i do think lumia is better for showing off n social networkinh.. I don't need a front camera/flash! Is there any kinda lag while playing temple run 2/subway surfer? n how is the internet browsing experience? Does it close automatically if you load heavy pages?

For ur info i don't take selfies or use skype n yes i'm sick of android n i can only blame samsung for it.. Paid 13k for this shit n they didn't even give an ics update for this phone.. I never had a bad experience with Nokia n we own 4 nokia phones! + i hate android coz they keep on giving updates every year.. Now you might think its a good thing but xolo/micromax will never get those updates. Then it'll be necessary to buy another phone! Would rather buy Lumia n i can sell it for a better price than xolo when i get bored with it Our Nokia 1100 is still working fine which was bought in 2004! Now thats what i call quality.. N my dads frnd wanted to buy that for 3k a few years back lol :tongue: How many ppl would want to buy a second hand xolo? i guess 0..

If you are asking about Lumia 525, I have not personally used it, but since it has 1GB RAM, games you mentioned should be ok.
Internet browsing is fast and I never experience crash (on 620), but then I dont load very heavy pages (just Google, Cricinfo, NDTV, IBN, Naukri, Monster )
