i dont know why it takes that much time even i have good configuration:wall:

Plz help..........

I don't think there is any problem as such. B'coz my laptop with the same config(mine C2D 1.6GHz) takes the same time as you mentioned. So to start faster, I don't shutdown the system; instead use hibernate.

what exactly is the time taken to boot? i mean use a stopwatch or something, start with when boot up starts and end when desktop loads completely!

Hi,,,
I have checked with the stopwatch....
i will take aprox 51-54 seconds to load the window & desktop completely.

1. Right-click on My Computer>Hardware>Device Manager.2. In Device Manager, expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.3. Right-click on Primary IDE Channel>Properties>Advanced Settings.4. Make sure the 'Current Transfer Mode' is Ultra DMA Mode 5. If it's PIO, then select 'DMA if available' from the drop down menu. Reboot.5. If the DMA option is greyed out and can't be selected, mention that in ur post.
