and why would yahoo allow an email to run any scripts without my permission? I haven't even seen them blocking images from unknown domains like gmail does.

Script means javascript... everyone uses/runs it!Btw script is run by the browser and not by server! Server just passes script to run, to run it or not is browser's decision! (and you control the browser!)

Yes it cud in early days of web based email. Now a days all web based email block script tags in email body.

ok... this is about the experiment to sort the emails. i forwarded my gmail mails to my yahoo mail account. it now has around 10K mails in the inbox.

sorting works! on all messages. this is not possible on either gmail or hotmail. yahoo has actually managed to create a very flexible platform!

it takes some time to process the data but it does show the results perfectly. here are the screenshots...

That's cool. Not cool enough for me to make the switch. Changing an email ID is a hassle. Moreover, conversations and keyboard shortcuts are what make me stick to GMail.
