YNetworks Delhi reviews?

In my society in Rohini, RComm has a monopoly on broadband. They've laid down an ethernet network so I'm guessing they try and fend off other ISPs. Even the local cable wala doesn't provide internet here.

Recently saw a board for YNetworks within the perimeter of my society. Their plans were pretty crappy at the time, but as of 2 days ago, they revised their plans and are excellent value for money.

These plans are tax-inclusive and for Delhi/NCR only.

RComm has good pings for gaming (Metro Ethernet), and their speeds are 99% as promised (2 Mbps up/2 Mbps down), but their downtime and corporate cuntery is way beyond my handling. Net goes down the moment power is out or there's rain. Complaints take forever to resolve and their customer care team is hard to talk to (5-15 minutes wait time and then you have to narrate everything from the beginning).

Currently paying ₹805 for 2 Mbps/2Mbps, no FUP from Rcomm. Looking to switch to 5 Mbps/x Mbps, unlimited on Ynetworks. Yet to enquire about their FUP.

Desperately looking to switch to a local ISP. Need some reviews. Especially in Rohini if someone has it.

Have just switched from YNetworks to Excitel......

I was on Rs.735 plan.....

There are many issues....... mostly at ISP end.
1. Random downtime...... may not be there all together for 2 weeks and then may be there every evening from few mins. to few hours....
2. Customer support never resolves the issue.
3. Peering not there as promised...... got only 10Mbps....
4. Many websites don't open.... and many times human verification window opens up in many sites....

Speed : 5Mbps ..... but at times it would go down to 2Mbps..... and ISP and LCO would blame each other...

But now moved to Excitel with the same LCO and all issues are resolved.

Well, even though Reliance has an uptime of 27/30 days, I've been having a lot of billing issues as well as speed issues with them lately. Since the past hour (and counting), it's been extremely hard to even browse the internet, let alone do my work.

I've been with them for ~4 years but the plans have been stagnant since ~3 years. Infact, because of taxes, I'm paying more and more every year. With nothing to show for it.

YNetworks is the only other ISP here. If they let me use my own router and don't have a hefty installation fee, I might keep them for 1 month and see how they are. Dropped them a request on the website. Let's see what they say -- if they are even available in my locality or not. Absolutely hate the Reliance monopoly.

Which websites do not open on YNetworks? If I get the connection for a month, I'll try them out. Is there any throttling? Also, if your normal speed was 5 Mbps, was your upload also 5 Mbps?

So far, I've only heard good things about Excitel. Sadly, no coverage in my area. I contacted another LCO who said they're launching "Alphanet" next month. They don't even have a website yet. Huge no-no for me, that.

I paid no installation fee, had my own router...... but LCO started charging Rs.200/- from new users...... saying he needs to configure the user router..... while he entered username and password only....

yes upload and downloads are same..... No FUP.....

For me it was better than my previous ISP MTNL...... youtube from 512Kbps to 10Mbps..... at the same price..... though ISP promised 20Mbps but never delivered....

had issues with alluc.xx and human verification on many websites....

throttling I can not say...... torrents and such stuff..... I left years ago...... youtube and other sites were as per the plan...

Try to get excitel, if available....... you can also try Siticable 50Mbps@Rs1,035/- unlimited all inclusive.... they also have 5Mbps@699+ taxes

From your above Reliance experience.... it seems Ynetwork will be better than Reliance....

₹200 for entering username and password? Wow, that's daylight robbery.

Well, even if I get 10Mbps peering on 5Mbps, I'm fine with it. I just need my base speed of 5 Mbps to be consistent - that's all. Good to know both download and upload are the same, unlike some ISPs which give a puny 0.5 Mbps upload with a 4 Mbps down speed (ridiculous).

Excitel is not available in my area. I have submitted a request on their website, let's see what they have to say.

Siticable was my first choice as well, and I thought they would be available in my area (cmon, it's the omnipresent local cable wala internet, right?), but sadly, even that is not available.

I'm doubtful about YNetworks now, also. They haven't replied to me on email or phone. I filled my details on their website 2 days ago. And the promotional board they put up has been sort of taken down (checked it yesterday). I guess I'll still call the number on the promo banner and see what they say.

Seems to me like either no one cares for broadband in my society, or Reliance is truly monopolizing here.

Hi, Today I have also submitted a request on Ynetwork site. From reading smartflight 's experience I am not hoping to get any reply for another week. In my area, SITI is not available and Airtel is too costly. Excitel is also more expensive that Ynetwork. And the LOC is the one who used to supply Cable in our society long time back. Now society has shifted to Airtel DTH.

Currently I am using MTNL from last 8 years or so. Recently it has started giving me a lot of problems so I thought of a change. Hoping to get a reply from Ynetwork soon.

good to see..... moving out of MTNL....

YNetwork is better than MTNL..... but Excitel is better....... I don't think one to one........ but yes they don't have low end plans....

ijsa : Have you used YNetwork? What is the status of their down time and complain redressal? Is bandwidth as promised? And are the plans Unlimited data plans or FUP?

Okay, I'll probably go for 299/- or 450/- plan. And I hope that the problems that you faced are not here in my area. After all, this depends on the LCO I guess.
