SpiceJet becomes first Indian airline to allow use of electronic devices during flights

Budget passenger carrier SpiceJet Monday became the first airline in India to allow passengers to use personal electronic devices (PEDs) in non-transmitting mode during flights. However, the use of phones or PEDs on international flights in US and Europe are allowed only above 10,000 feet. SpiceJet will also allow the use of PEDs above 10,000 feet.
