Cyanogen OS 12.1 means Android 5.1. Moto Turbo already has Android 5.1.

Droid Turbo is on 5.1. Moto Turbo launched on 5.0.2 and is on 5.0.2

For end users, no. For enthusiasts, it got the update in the form of Yu OS which required flashing fastboot images.

I did try it on my Yuphoria and i reverted to Cyanogenmod in half an hour
