The second problem is when I switch off and go to sleep and wake up in the morning I cannot log into the system. I experience this problem.

Tell me about this. What do you mean by " Cannot log into the system ". What is the " System " here ? PC or modem ? Are you logged out of both desktop and laptop ?

Thanks I got this to work on Ubuntu. But the wireless adapter on Windows does not work. I cannot connect to BSNL via wireless.

So tomorrow my friend will be bringing me a D-Link modem and we will try to connect the BSNL via a D-Link modem. If there are issues I will post here again.

Any clues why the wireless connection does not work ?

System means login into internet. So this will be a test for this BSNL modem tonight. When I logout and log back again tomorrow will I be able to browse the internet ?
