Petrol pump associations were threatening strike and not working on sundays to demand compensation (2% commission) due to cashless mode of payments.

Media spins it like this is happening because of Modi's orders to conserve "Oil" , Top notch pulitzer prize winning journalism I must say

Going by common logic, most of working people have sundays off anyways. Most probably they'll spend it in home rather than roaming on roads. This will only inconvenience people like truck drivers who work on sundays anyways delivering goods

That is not the point. What is there is an emergency and I have to travel interstate and I run out of Diesel, Should I keep barells filled with Diesel at home. I don't think this stupid rule exists anywhere, Lives can be lost because of this stupid rule. People still dont get how seriously stupid this move is.
