Rumored Reliance Jio Fiber Broadband Plans

Jio has started testing Triple Play plan for employees.
are u a jio employee?

what is jio gigafiber ASN pl share it , I wanna see the ipv4 route they use ,if anyone here is on gigafiber plz use your asn IPV4 ROUTE CHECK and search with ASN on that page it will give the ipv4 route jio uses to connect to the global backbone .

here is my isp route Alliance Broadband ipv4 route

You can find ASN for every ISP over google. But my jio 4g has the same routing as Jio gigafiber...

thats weird they are probably using the same jio 4g gateway to connect to the global backbone(thus double NAT),I assumed that they would have better routing to properly utilize the fiber network ,I think they will use different
ASN after commercial launch ,thats how isps normally operate ......also imo correct jio gigafiber ASN should be available after comm launch, so till then we should wait and watch i guess ....

simply put the more hops or nodes used to reach the destination ip the more latency and bandwith issues are created.....

most indian isp have wierd routing which is why we get bad international bandwith and latency most times.
here is how a good route should look like BT UK route to backbone
hopefully after commercial launch jio will sort the issue of proper routing.....

Yes, that should explain jio fiber's poor pings. I was initially taken a back seeing jiofiber's routing being same as that for 4g, most TSP including airtel uses separate ASN and routing for their mobile, residential and business customers. If Jio decides to use the same shitty routing then it's a major fail for their FTTH!.

After I asked that question, I did do some poking around looking at other ISPs routing graphs,
singtel, bt uk (as u mentioned), airtel for smb, and other business grade or reputed ISPs have a very clean, short and simple straight forward routing compared to say airtel for home, alliance broadband or most other Indian ISPs who have crazy weird routes!. You must see the difference between airtel for smb and airtel for home though. It's almost like they are completely different ISPs! I actually wanted to start a thread on ISP routing after seeing the differences.
