Zee5 added to Reliance Jio Fiber set top box

Yeah they are making changes I guess. For e.g. Hotstar live channels are now available under JioTV plus app. Earlier you had to open hotstar app to watch live star tv.

If they bring all the major live channels directly under jiotv plus app (which are already available but scattered everywhere) , then I don’t need the cable tv. I know it will eat up my fup but I don’t watch much of tv anyways.

I don't know how you are getting premium contents as having the same silver plan, I can't access any of the premium content available in Zee5 (as I checked it properly yesterday). You must have taken separate Zee5 subscription already.

@aayush are you logged in via STB ? When I first launched the zee5 app via STB, it showed a message that I have received access to premium membership of some sort with jio.

I am watching dream girl right now and I do not have any separate membership to zee5. So I am sure it works.

I also can see the premium content on silver plan and I don't have any other membership. I received the same message after downloading the app.

Jio should add a new tab alongside watch now, kids, music, on JioTV+ called channels and categorize the channels from OTT apps based on entertainment, news, sports, etc

edit: They are dumping everything inside watch now tab and it is becoming cluttered.

@Nitin I was also wondering the same. I have a USB camera. I will try and let you know.

I connected my HP webcam to the Jio set top box. It seems to work.
However there is one issue. The person on the other side could hear his own voice again (in video as well as voice calls).
I was able to hear his voice clearly and he too was able to hear my voice clearly. But his own voice was also echoed back to him.

I think this is what was happening:
Whenever he spoke, my TV speaker played his voice.
That output from the TV speaker was caught by my webcam and feeded back to him.
Because of which he could hear his own voice back.

This should not be happening but I don't know why this is happening.

Also I have heard that Zee5 consumes lot more data as compared to other OTT apps. Is it true?
Could somebody please mention approximately how much data is used per hour when streaming Zee5 in maybe 480p or 720p quality?

I got a call from local jio person about the addition of zee5
And when i just checked , it's already installed automatically and i can watch all premium contents

I guees till march that is holi.things would be more clear about ott apps.i hope they make a deal with Netflix and prime video as well.atleast for gold plan .

It is asking me to authenticate with my existing account via Zee5 app, and showing a code for it. But when I logged in after its authentication, the premium contents are not available to me....Why so?
Do you guys logged in by any other way??
