Getting a 2inch hole drilled in the wall behind a table, to take the wire in via a pipe, and to where it needs to go, in a casing. The hole is big cause I'll be taking 2 cat6 cables each to other floors and tying it to the widows incase I need them in the future. And a couple in the parking for CCTV later by simply adding a switch. Will also leave 2 power cables (1 to floor above where I will immediately setup a wired AP with my second r7000.) Other for emergencies). This will get 2.5ghz to all the floors and 5ghz to the most used areas. Already got a D-Link 100mt cat6 cable box yesterday.Signal loss due to splicing is minimal if done properly. Today Excitel LCO did final installation at my house and the splicing machine reported splice loss as 0 dBm. In other instances I've seen the loss as 0.1-0.2 dBm.
So it shouldn't have much of an effect. But it is good that the LCO is allocating the cable for you to do the internal wiring. How are you planning to do the wiring internally?
