Halfway through, its written that apparently older firmwares of the Syrotech OLT dont support IPV6. That explains a lot.

Well, what do you expect from a "Made in India" brand/company/product?

@vignesh_venkatesan True, they are most likely Chinese products, but ultimately the workmanship is crap because the manufacturers knows it's not for some big-brand name like Cisco or something.

Finally Im getting 50mbps both Upload and Download now. There was a small down time in the afternoon after which speed became normal.

However, the problem of packet loss is still there Ping 1.1.1.1 still times out a lot
On phone instagram is very sluggish.

It's BSNL, Packet loss and Bsnl BB coexist we can't change that.

@vignesh_venkatesan - I had no packet loss on BSNL broadband. Sure there were CRC errors, but no packet loss.

@partymonger I had bsnl ADSL for about 10 years, noticeable packet loss would occur atleast 40% of the time and 1-2 % packet loss were usual.

However, the problem of packet loss is still there Ping 1.1.1.1 still times out a lot

1.1.1.1 can show very high latency and packet loss at times. I was using 1.1.1.1 as one of the target IP addresses to check internet connectivity earlier (to trigger WAN failover), now had to switch to something else due to the intermittent packet loss and latency.

@varkey You can check DNS benchmarks online or do it yourself. Cloudflare DNS for some reason has high latency in India.
