I just came across this thread and I have already ordered a buttload of things from AliExpress without being aware about this. :( Maybe because my last order was in November so didn't follow too much news regarding this.

Few of the items I ordered are less than ₹150 so maybe those will be exempted from customs but one is a SATA HDD casing which is just over ₹1000 for which customs will be levied I think and another is TWS which is close to ₹3000. :(

Till now I have only paid customs for Mi Box S which was minimal that too after asking the seller to declare it for a lower value but again trying to evade customs is purely based on luck.

I hope some miracle happens and I receive my parcel without paying any customs. :D 🤞🏽

Yes, rather than the amount you paid, the size tends to matter more. So if your earphone order comes in a smallish package with a not so high-value declaration, it might just come duty-free.

End of the day its just luck! ;)
Yep, agreed. I had a earphones shipped previously which was over 3000 rupees but had a tiny packaging. In that case, I didn't had any customs.

@Samuel I recently ordered these from AliExpress.

I specifically got these for mobile gaming but works good with PC/Laptop as well. The attachable mic is good for calls if you take a lot of calls.

And if you are talking about over the head earphones then there are a lot of options under ₹1000.

Except for Sony nothing worth < INR 2000.

Try to go for detachable MMCX cable ones, they will last you longer.

...what would be your budget?

Under 4K? I wouldn't say that I am a basshead, but I listen to electronic and instrumentals. For my phones I've used Sony extra bass earphones most of the times, except for when I switched to a phone with no headphone jack.

The link isn't working I guess.
