Hi guys,

I took Bharat Fibre connection yesterday where I applied for 777 plan in the CAF. I was later informed that 777 plan is not available and I will either have to opt for 849 or 749 plan. They said that the 777 plan expired on Mar 31.

I checked with BSNL website and 777 plan is still showing valid till 24th June in UP West Circle. I conveyed the same to the BSNL officials but they say that the 777 plan is not being shown in their systems.

I have contacted BSNL on twitter for clarification but they never seem to reply. What should I do to rectify this?

I have been put under 749 superstar plan as of now.

You should contact SDO or JE directly over phone or if you can visit and show them the details, if not complaint at pg portal. But you getting a connection even these days is a big achievement.

I contacted the JTO and the commercial officer and they both said that 777 is not being shown in their systems. I will try to look for the SDO in exchange tomorrow.

And my connection was installed within 24 hours of request. BSNL guys installed two more connections in my Apartment Society along with mine. This is not a vendor installation but direct from BSNL. Everyone involved in the installation was very young in their 20s and 30s.

I was given a Syrotech ONT dual antenna.

There's only Rs 72+tax difference with the 849 plan and you get 100 GB extra per month as well. Per GB cost is lesser.

Unless you don't really need the extra 100 GB.

Yes varkey but by just paying Rs 34 extra (inclusive of taxes) I get 200GB extra. I dont need Prime and Hotstar as I already have them.

Plus, it just feels a bit unfair when I cannot opt for an option available for everyone atleast on their website. Once this 6 month promo gets over I would move to 849.

Does IPv6 work for you? If so the data cap is just namesake 😅 Any traffic over IPv6 is not metered or capped. 🙊🤫

If most of your usage is on YouTube or other IPv6 enabled services, some part of your traffic would go over IPv6 by default.

For example, I've used upwards of 300 GB this month till now, but as per BSNL I've used only 170 GB or so. I'm on the Superstar 300 plan.

No, Ipv6 is not enabled. How do I enable that? In IP protocol mode its selected as Ipv4/Ipv6 but V6 doesnt have any IP address specified.
