Hi, I had applied for 999/- plan in January 2019. It was a 100Mbps/500GB Fiber plan. Recently I noticed I was getting 200Mbps speed. I even checked my Airtel App, and my plan is shown as 999/- 525GB - 200Mbps. I was elated.
But, then I checked Airtel's website for current FTTH plans for my City(Bhopal). Their 999/- plan says 200Mbps but ONLY 300GB data. Now I'm a bit apprehensive. Is it possible they are slowly migrating me to their new 999/- plan? Like this month they increased the speed to 200Mbps, from next month onwards they reduce my data cap to 300GB?
First of all, can they legally do that? Reduce the datacap even though when I applied for this plan it was 500GB? My monthly usage on average is about 380-420GB so 300GB will definitely not cut it and the only other Fiber ISP available here is BSNL(ouch).
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any idea what can I (legally) do in case they reduce my datacap?
Thank you
