i don't think any waiting for acceptable. she discussed it with me in the evening. visited the Apple store after that. and an hour ago, she asked me to pick one between m18GB and intel16GB because she was going to order it right then. in fact, she would have ordered at the apple store itself but apparently there was an issue with their card machine. hdfc (or hsbc) has an ongoing discount of 7K apparently on macbooks.

Yes from what I can see. I haven't bothered changing the storage settings but in my case it basically backs up any file I import in it.

for some reason adobe does not mention lightroom here.

Because high end Windows laptops are quite good. But anyways.

I think it downloads, edits and syncs at the end and not real time syncing. I might be mistaken though

that's probably true. but it is also hard to get people to spend as much money on a pc as they might be willing to spend on a mac. plus pcs tend to not offer the battery life advantage at similar prices and m1 seems to be much better than intel at media editing things.

i suppose it would be fine as long as local storage is not used apart from temporary caching of files while they are being viewed/edited.
