I got an invite to a group from an unknown number today & my settings are set that only people in my contacts list can send me an invite. So much for privacy and security from this app.

Invites can be sent by anyone. Read the fine print mentioned in that setting screen.

However, both WhatsApp and Facebook in their petition argued that a case about the new privacy policy was already being heard by the Supreme Court and the High Court. And so, they said, the Competition Commission of India need not order an investigation.

Yes, would Accept on the last day (Expecting another delay for the privacy policy rollout) and However will limit the info shared on
WA from now on. Ex: Status, info which can be used to identify an individual and other official talks.
- Will deny location access and microphone access from now on (Enable it only if needed and turn off)

All confidential messages would be strictly through Signal/Telegram from now on. I've lost trust on WhatsApp!

Even I am doing the same. Unwanted stuff on WA, important ones on Signal, Telegram.
