Need to decide between TP-Link Archer C6 & Tenda AC10

I need to buy a dual band gigabit router under 3k and i have been researching for the same since past 2 days
All around the internet & even in this forum , Archer C6 seems to the one recommended most/defacto king . It seemed like a easy blind buy to me until one of my friend recommended Tenda AC10 as a better alternative , then i saw bunch of direct speedtest comparison between these 2 on YouTube & was quite shocked with the results . On paper both are having exactly same spec but actual tests told a very different story

1)Tenda AC10 vs Archer C6 v2

Source

Result - Archer C6 v2 is outperformed by Tenda AC10 by a very good margin . I didn't expected so much difference , archer seemed like a joke in front Tenda here

2) Tenda AC10 vs Archer C6 v2 vs Archer C6 v3 vs Few others

Source

Result - Here also Tenda AC10 outperformed both Archer C6 v2 & v3 by comfortable margins
( Archer C6 v3 has improved over v2 apparently still nowhere near Tenda AC10'S numbers )

Except just the one the speedtest comparison at first which was done like way too close to the router in which both routers perfomed equally good , Tenda AC10 performed way better be it 2.4ghz or 5 ghz band across all tests . There are bunch of other vidoes too on YouTube claiming Tenda AC10 having lot better coverage & speed than Archer C6 but lets leave them , the ones i gave are good enough tests to put forward my point . If the Tenda AC10 is so much better than Archer C6 , then why isn't it even half as much know or acclaimed like the Archer C6's are ? Why doesn't anyone talk about Tenda AC10 if they are really so good , something doesn't feel right to me . Possibly someone having used both these routers will be able to clear this up properly

What do all of you guys have to say about this ? Do all the tests in the video look reliable enough to base a purchase decision over it ? I am really stuck at this point . Its safe to say that way too many people use Archer C6 here it being so popular , don't you guys get speed drops like shown in the video ?

On another note , I am definitely open to suggestions for different options apart from these 2 within my budget

I think I’ll be getting the AC10 too. Just learned that the ONEMesh won’t work over Ethernet back haul and the routers broadcast a hidden ssid for the purpose that can’t be turned off plus it just works with a repeater or extender. Also, AC10 at 2000 is a steal IMHO.
@Mayankp7 thats good to know , hope we both get v3 from flipkart xd . Btw its priced ats 2.4k currently ( not 2k as you said , still definitely worthy af ) and unlike TP-Link routers whose price keep varying , Tenda AC10's price has been quite stable afaik ( so much so that 2.4k itself is the average price ). i will be sharing updates here once it gets delivered for any future visitors landing up here

I’m literally getting it for ₹2005. Just apply for Flipkart student discount (assuming you’re a student) and you can get ₹500 off over purchases made above ₹3000 and and ₹200 off above ₹1001. I just included an earphone my friend needs and I’m getting around ₹400 off on the router and ₹100 off on the earphones. Nothing as good as mutual benefit xD.

LMAO so I was wrong. All the reviewers including the one you put up, tested the AC10V2 and the nearly all the good reviews are for the same. Just found out a video for AC10v3 and it has an even worse range than the Archer C6v3 SMH. Also, if you sort the reviews by latest on Flipkart, nearly everyone who’s bought the AC10 and presumably got the v3 complains about the trash range. Majority of the good reviews are from around 8-12 months back and AFAIK for the V2. This is just so damn frustrating.
Here’s the Video check it out and let’s go kill the dumbasses responsible for updating the router hardware.

@Mayankp7 damm didnt knew about this sorcery , so now we back to scratch for deciding "-" , although i dont think there's any other option apart from Archer C6 or is there ?. . Btw are we 100% sure that @nishantt6969 is using v2 as well right because he doesn't have the box with him ? i think it can be confirmed from any option which displays the current firmware in web-ui ( v3 will have the term - "-v3" in its name for sure as its available on their website.

I'm like 99 % sure he's using the v2 because he confirmed it has a Wi-Fi on off button. As for other options,

Seriously though, i'm really considering getting the MR50G since it spares us with all the v1 v2 v3 bullcrap as there's just one hardware varient available that everyone says is good overall. It costs around 600 more than the archer c6 v3.20 though but has 3x3 MIMO compared to 2x2 on the other 2 plus its AC1900 compared to AC1200. Downsides? Just 2 Gigabit LAN ports(nearly a deal breaker) and no mobile app(which is fine).

Archer C6 also has quite lot of issues with its range - you can see multiple people confirming it in the last few pages of this thread - TP-Link AC1200 Archer A6 v3.0 or 2.0 | I want to buy a... . They are saying v3 has poor range while all of youtube videos on Archer C6 show v3 performing way better than v2 . Damm it man , looks like i will never be able to decide this , Archer C6 has so many conflicting opinions on it makes me want to avoid it . You are right about the MR50G being a very good router although i am not sure if its worth for 3.2k + only 2 lan ports is real a deal breaker tbh

Who would've thought buying routers could be this tricky. I envy regular people who buy dumb trash that has 4+ star reviews, without giving it a thought and go on with their lives.
