Reliance Jio Fiber DP Box left open. Cleaned out.

In my area, lots of JioFiber boxes are left open too, including mine.

I live in Kolkata and here rains and storms are very common.

Does anyone know if rain can cause water to go inside the connector and cause optical loss and issues with the Internet?

Same has happened to Tata Sky boxes installed on every floor in my bldg. They just don't care.

The JIO DP box for around 50+ houses around me is on my roof. Even though they don't have a lock and key mechanism they do have a Nut and Scree mechanism which when done properly can deter vandals at the very least even if not dedicated thief. You can try that at the very least.

No Jio don't have key system. They even dont have a provision for it. All the boxes are in very poor condition in my locality. They basically do not have O&M team.

The do have, our neighbor had his wire broken and the technician didn't had key with himself, He then used pillar o open it
