Crappy screen & no vanilla android till now!
Chuck it MMX
How can u compete with Gorilla Glass 3 and splashproof Technology!

Only one flaw of Moto E is camera but what more can u except at this price range!

Bought this phone 5days back. Its actually better than moto E except for the display. Has an average camera(better than moto g & e) Decent gaming performance and so far i haven't experi enced any lag or frame drops. The only thing i didn't like was while playing heavy games the micromax logo on the back does get a bit hot but thats not a big issue as high end phones like xperia z2 gets much hotter. I had no other choice but to get this as my dad wasnt ready to spend more on moto g! Nevertheless i'm happy with its overall performance n i'd recommend it to those who wanna do gaming n are looking for an alternative to moto e.

I too might go for a Unite 2 soon, as my current device has 512MB RAM and restricts me from some gaming.
I currently don't want too flashy or classy phone so Unite 2 is what fits my requirement and budget
and with a "MURGA" buying my existing phone for around Rs.4000, I would get upgraded in around Rs.2000 only.

Recently HDFC offered a flast 20% off Coupon and I checked on ebay, Unite 2 was costing me Rs.5800/- which was awesome price
by the time I made up my mind the coupon code was all exploited by customers and ebay doesn't allows anymore usage for that.

Recent buyers have started posting that this phone NOW has a updated Flash and ROM partition is 8GB, which make is more tasty :-)

With unlocked boot and root method and loads of ROM related stuff already available for Unite 2, its certainly a nice budget phone as of today.

Recently this phone has picked up a lot, selling like hot cake, like we saw in Canvas 2 days.

a friend wanted to buy this but all online stores are fluctuating pricing multiple times a day.
and flipkart the poor fellow is stuck with OLD VERSION which has 4GB ROM, instead of 8GB as available everywhere LOL

Buyers have eaten up all the local stock and stores are charging like Rs.500-800 extra for this phone, I've seen dudes buying this for 7500/- last evening.

Pay More Get 4GB version.
Pay Less Get 8GB Version

Reminds me of this cool offer I managed to get on a high end Logitech Creative webcamera few years ago. This was on Amazon.com. I was not planning to spend too much on it so was looking for the mid range cams. The middle model was priced at around 60 dollars I believe. I checked the higher end model just for the sake of it and noticed that it was on sale for around 45 dollars. Pretty exciting huh?

What I Did this sunday (20-7-14
Sold My Lava Iris 501, Bought unite 2, and after initial hands on.
Installed CWM recovery,
Rooted the Device,
Removed the Bloatware supplied as system app by Micromax
Blocked the Ads using Hosts files
Installed my stuff and now enjoying the 1GB RAM on cheapest possible, yet good Kitkat phone.

Bravo!

Plz post a review of the phone. Also, is it easy to root the phone? And how is the battery life?

phone is like Hot Knife in Butter, 1GB is very well managed by OS,
mostly 500+ MB free making UI utterly smooth, Basic Games like subway surfer works flawlessly.

my 16GB card is not working as it has lots of junk, will empty it and run Dead Trigger 2 and post back.

battery life is also good,

I am happy with it, only 1-2 small issues needs to be fixed now,
1). restore my back up which is from jelly bean and is creating problem
2). expand the internal storage as micromax gave only 1GB for apps and 5+ GB for user.
