Should i take reliance or tikona?

Hello guys I am from chennai and planning to get a new broadband connection.
After checking the tariffs of all ISPs I have decided to go with either reliance or tikona.Since my usage is limited to about 10-15gb per month these above mentioned ISPs perfectly fit in my budget.
So please tell me which will be the best among the two especially for downloading torrents and basic surfing?

I am not sure Reliance is very keen on downloading. Considering they run a film company themselves. If I am not wrong, they earns order from court to ban file sharing site when their movies are released ( including Singham).

Use a VPN and do whatever you want to do with your connection.

VPN itself costs at least Rs. 1,000 a month. Right ?

FrootVPN was recently promoting on T P B homepage and is totally free. There are some other free services as well. Paid VPNs can cost as little as 4-5 dollars per month.

Thanks for your replies.I had conformed both these providers have feasibility in my area.But I am a little concerned about the initial payment option with reliance.Do they really take the money and launder?
The broadband connection is to be taken in my name.But since there is some problem with my bank account right now I am thinking of giving a cheque in my father's name.Will this cause any problem with reliance or I might have to consider paying them by demand draft.

Pay by cheque in company's name. Keep all documentation. Reliance customer support through email is not that horrible.

@chromaniac Thanks for that info. Is there any detail available regarding what exactly should I address in the cheque.There is no proper data for this in reliance website. Will the customer care assist in helping this?I am guessing the correct name is 'RCIL' to be addressed.But I am not sure since I am not getting much information from any website.

I don't remember but it should be Reliance something. Crossed cheque in company's name should be a safe bet. In any case I think they take 500 rupees initially.

Please do check with neighbors before making the switch. I switched to reliance after consulting with a friend who stayed nearby.
