BSNL Broadband's new revolutionary (lol) broadband plans with minimum 2mbps speeds (lol)

Right. I am also pretty sure Broadband revolution is just around the corner.
IMO this should be a piece of cake as 2 Mbps compared to the other countries is pretty poor. It should've been done a few years back and by all accounts should not be boasted by the Government as a revolution. Its a neccessity not a luxury.

If they still say that they do not have the infrastructure then i give up.

From all the FRAUD that started with FUP,false advertisings of "2 Mbps super speed,BSNL is all you need" and "4G fastest network EVER",this should not be the case on 1 october.

Its 2015 that is about to end not 2005 that 512 kbps is still branded as "MINIMUM BROADBAND".All companies have been fooling customers since FUP was implemented.

If this does not happen now then i don't think this will happen the next year.

India is light years behind developed nations. Germany is aiming to provide 50 Mbps internet FOR ALL within next 3 years. Whereas India is far at the bottom of nations when it comes to Internet.

Our leaders boost to make India as superpower, world manufacturing hub, Digital revolution. Now i don't wanna listen that India doesn't have Infrastructure. If not, then why our Govt is not investing in it. What is our Govt waiting for? Why Govt is lauding these kind of 1 GB FUP stupid schemes and claiming that they have redefined broadband in India?

Either Govt should deliver on the promises or admit that they made chutiya out of people just to get votes.

Also i am fed up of people who still claim that Acche Din are just around the corner. How much more we have to wait?

Some are even claiming that these are indeed the "ACHE DIN".I also read someone commenting that "Wow,thank you Modi Ji for this news" on this topic.I mean who likes this mediocre technology in this country.

The government has given too much leeway to these so called nationwide tele companies that they are ripping the customers from day one.

FUP might just be one of the biggest fraud in the country.Government instead of going against it,they started to use the policy for their own company.

Companies make a silly excuse that they do not have the infrastructure. The amount of profit that they are getting from their FRAUD schemes is more than sufficient to implement the infrastructure to provide even 8 Mbps.Companies are just taking massive advantage of the corrupt government.

Its a simple logic - they are providing the so called 4-8 Mbps before FUP that means their servers can handle the traffic above a certain threshold. But they are constantly ripping customers and lying that infrastructure is not there while it is there without a doubt.

Our telecom minister should not make fool of himself by boosting that 2 Mbps 1 GB FUP plans will redefine broadband in India.

I don't understand what is BSNL doing with its OFC network. They claim to have Lakhs of Km of OFC network. I don't know why they're not putting it to best use. Do they really have Such a large OFC network? Or is it just on papers while no work actually done on the ground?
Why is broadband so pathetic in India.. When other developing countries are so ahead.. Its a real embarrassment that India produce so much IT professionals and yet we are so behind in basic Internet services.

well there are few other developing markets which are of the size comparable to india with a large population like ours. brazil and indonesia are two that comes to mind. things are just slightly better there from my understanding.

I mean to say 512 kbps is way to low.. Because world is moving towards HD now .. So I guess at least 2 mbps should be minimum.
