So I was trying to order a cover for my tablet from iBhejo. After the order was successful I was thrown to this page where we need to upload POI and POA and literally sign in a space provided using the mouse for the so called KYC stuff for customs. @chromaniac says this was there since a long time already. I came across it just today.

I then causally checked Amazon.com for the same product. Incidentally the product could be shipped to India. But there too it needed similar details for KYC.

Jai ho Modi!

these services already pay duty and shipping on your behalf. so kyc does not change anything to the best of my understanding.

How reliable are these forwarding services? I am planning to get a cover too, but the cost may not be justified as compared to getting it from an Indian e-commerce website...

They're pretty reliable. Sushubh has used it couple of times and he's happy I guess. I'm using iBhejo for the first time. Have used eBay GEB twice previously and it all went fine without any hiccups.

I have been shopping using http://ishopinternational.com atleast for last 5 years never had any hiccup or delivery issue. I even returned my non functional item once which they sent to original seller and got my refund (-reshipping chargers). AFAIK, they have got 3 cargo aircrafts flyin in and out everyday and shipping stuff for allmost all known courier companies. There name is "Bombay Courier", the support is also very transparent....and I trust them.. personally. ....

ps:- I am not affiliated to connected to ishopinternational or bombaycourier.... the views are mine personal based on previous experiences.

never had a problem with ishop. thankfully i have not had to return anything till now.
the only problem is that their website sucks. it can never track my orders properly so i do not get any loyalty discount. plus they keep on calling me if i ask a quote and do not place an order.

yeah rite,... they do a follow up very aggressively and also the site ....at times feel like IRCTC.... but overall ... the support is cooperative.

IRCTC here has been as an adjective for S#!T. ;)
