Jyotiraditya Scindia: The Indian government has delimited the lower 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi to boost next-generation technology and indoor connectivity, enabling Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 benefits for home users.
@Skye I'm pretty sure once it's made official regulation (notification from gormint) then (some if not all) companies will enable 6ghz wifi 6e, wifi 7 etc, even wifi 8 upcoming...
It will also depend heavily on the router manufacturers as well, also if ISP don't pave the way then on which wifi the smartphones will latch on. Recently the shtty ISP are only providing WIfi 6 routers on their extra premium plans or air fiber units only so Long way.
@Kaiju404 We can just use our own router for now, because it is rare for ISP routers to be good anyway. Besides, not everyone need 6 GHz router, and those who do can buy one, or maybe ISPs could offer them for Gigabit plan users in the future.
@Skye I wish if ISP just provides us wifi 6e router in all plans, like build some competition then only other will follow Excitel is already planning to launch their Moksha series routers
