Kerala: BSNL Bharat Fiber New Plans (30/100/200/300mbps)

i called morning two people in charge of ftth in kollam district,I think they are called the sde no idea of bsnl nomenclature, both told me its only for kochi and trivandrum and they have no intention to bring it to my place,I believe the other dude just about said why would they bring in places where jio isn't forcing them to do it

i have no idea why anyone would bother with getting bsnl over jio or airtel anymore in kochi or trivandrum, even installation charges are ridiculous on bsnl part, you have to pay both the lco and then bsnl installation charges to get a connection compared to airtel and jio

don't want to be a whiner but being treated second class for living in rural area is getting old

@varkey i couldn't reply as the previous thread got locked, the issue is weird, the number is registered with them as i got the sms about new connection account number and everything on the number, i am guessing its either of two things, they will only allow me to register on self portal after the first bill gets issued for the connection , or there is some issue with them cancelling the old self portal account with the same number, when i check my email address which was registered with self portal before it shows "user not detected" i don't know why they removed my account without notifiying me

i have sent an email to the email that was provided by customer support, i don't intend to get a reply, will wait for first bill and try to register back on self care portal

When we took our connection, the new account number was added to the same selfcare account. I can see three accounts within my selfcare account. Old ADSL, new fiber bb and fiber voice.

Went to BSNL CSC in Perumbavoor sometime back, and they are like first of all the plans are not available in their system yet. Secondly, as per the notification they have got the plan is available only in urban areas and asked if my area comes under a panchayat or municipality. I asked how does that matter it's from the same exchange. (He did show me the circular dated September 25th which have been shared earlier in other threads, so he was at least aware of the plans). Either way my area is under a panchayat, and doesn't some under Perumbavoor municipality.

So I asked him, if my connection was under Perumbavoor municipality ie in the town itself. would you take a request for plan change, and then he was back to, plans are not updated in the system. I said I can login to my self-care portal and see these plans and I've already submitted the change request but it's still not processed. They are like we don't know about self care portal, but currently we cannot take a request. 😑

I guess I'll just wait for self-care portal request to get processed or rejected. 😑

They're taking this urban distinction very seriously:confused:. Selfcare would be the last hope. The mistake was letting the regional SSA's take the decision. Who in their right mind would say no to faster internet at their own place? Only people who have something against the internet as a whole or just mad at other people using it more.

Or they've terrible equipment 🤷‍♂️.

Oh right, they're trying get more money.

I had a similar experience at Muvattupuzha CSC, like a year or two back. I made a plan change request in self-care. It wasn't any limited plan or anything. It didn't go through even after a month. When I went in person and enquired, they said they won't change plan based on the portal, needs a written request. They were like, anyone can request plan change, how do we verify the authenticity of the request :censored:.
We link accounts with OTP validation, but still o_O. I didn't say anything, gave a written request and left.
